Purpose and objective:
After completing this course you are able to implement a web site using a content management system.

- overview of topical content management systems
- essential features and use of the chosen content management system

- basics in programming
- basic skills in web publishing (e.g. HTML and CSS)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Sufficient 1: The student knows the essential content management systems. The student is familiar with the key functional elements and tools of a website created with a content management system. The student is able to implement a simple website using a content management system.

Satisfactory 2: Using a content management system, the student is able to design and implement a website where the interface can be used to dynamically modify the website content.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good 3: Using a content management system, the student is able to design and implement a website where the content of the website can be dynamically modified with the user interface in various user roles. The student is able to implement a website where search engine optimization and data security have been considered. The student is able to document the architecture and the functional elements of the implementation for the most central parts.

Very good 4: Using a content management system, the student is able to design and implement a website where the made choices have been justified. The implemented website contains extra elements or components that have been tailored or created by the students themselves by programming. The student is able to synthesize to the website purposefully extra elements, components or program libraries that have not been introduced in the course directly.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent 5: Using content management system, the student is able to design and implement a website using good practices where the techniques introduced in the course have been used widely with justified choices. The objectives and technical solutions aimed at on the website have been documented extensively and clearly. The function and documentation of the website have been presented audiovisually. The student is able to critically assess their competence in the solutions.
