Objective

Course is an important part of the basic studies related to Physical Education and Physiotherapy.
As a participant of this course, you will concern yourself to the Anatomy of a healthy human body as well as to the basic components of Functional principles.
When you have passed this course, you`ll understand how the healthy human body acts during different movements and you will be equipped with tools that you will need in the later phases of your studies as well as in the working life.

Learning outcomes:
Student understands the structure of the locomotive system and the implementation of movements. Student can independently assess functions of joints and muscles during movements.

Content

Anatomy:
Anatomical terminology, Structure and basic function of the Locomotive system:
Osteology, arthrology and myology of the following body parts: skull, spine, thorax, upper limb, pelvis, lower limb.

Kinesiology of the neuromuscular system:
Functions and innervations of the muscles moving different body parts. Mechanical & neurological aspects of muscular activity - neuromuscular junctions and musclefibers as well as perpheral innervation of the muscles.
and basics movement mechanics and force production.

Biomechanics:
Muscle activation and types of contraction, Postural control and evaluation of basic movements (walking, lifting etc...)

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Adequate 1:
Your knowledge consists of scattered, content related details. In an oral or written exam your answers are not full and your answers are uncertain. Conclusions of your answers and management of the the content are scare.

Satisfactory 2:
Your knowledge consists of content related details. In an oral or written exam in your answers you are able to provide a bit more information and the level of knowledge is satisfactory. Conclusions of your answers and management of the the content are relevant but declaratory.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good 3:
The student has a good knowledge,skills and your answers are reasonable. You aim to combine information from different sources. In an oral or written exam in your answers are fluent and correctly related to the content. In your answers you show the ability to describe and validate the content with the correct terminology and the level of knowledge adequate.

Very good 4:
The student has advanced knowledge, skills and your answers are well justified. In an oral or written exam in your answers are fluent and you have a capacity to give wide-ranging answers. In your answers you show the ability to describe and validate the content with the correct terminology and the level of knowledge good.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has very advanced knowledge, skills and you are able to justify your activities with different objectives. In an oral or written exam in your answers are fluent and you have a capacity to give wide-ranging answers. In your answers you show the ability to describe and validate the content with the correct terminology and the level of knowledge widely recognized.
