Transport Technology (4cr)

Objective

The students are familiar with the cargo space solutions used in road transport and with cargo handling devices. They master the basics of cargo securing and vehicle sizing. They are able to choose a road transport unit for a specific task based on calculations and equip it with the necessary auxiliary devices. They also understand the technical background factors of the choices.

Cargo spaces, handling devices, cargo securing, registration and inspection, vehicle sizing, energy consumption, alternative chassis component groups and their properties

Qualifications

Mastery of the basics of logistics, road transport operations, mechanics, strength of materials
