Critically review, analyze and understand information available from academic and professional business sources in intercultural business field.
Apply disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge to analyze business challenges to propose or take in action practical intercultural business situations.
Communicate responsibly, effectively and professionally in English in oral and written formats.
Participate in multicultural settings and demonstrate teamwork skills.
Understand issues of ESR and find their meaningful applications in the business practices and decision-making in intercultural business environment.
Course contents
Cross-cultural knowledge and concepts. Intercultural negotiations, sales, marketing and management. Intercultural case studies.
For each content unit there will be processes and analytical tools provided for implementation of learned model and concepts.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Completed basic business and management studies (JAMK Degree students) or equivalent basics of business management completed.

Adequate 1
You are familiar with the ways to analyze and evaluate academic and business information relevant to intercultural business.
You know how to analyze business challenges in intercultural context and can propose viable management actions in intercultural business in guided situation.
You can transmit your ideas and findings in English and participate in multicultural teamwork to a limited extent. You are able to identify some basic ESR-related issues and discuss superficially their meaningful applications in international business settings.
Satisfactory 2:
You can do basic analyzes and evaluate academic and business information relevant to intercultural business.
You can to a limited extent analyze business challenges and viable management actions in intercultural business situations
You are able to get your main message through when presenting your ideas and findings and have basic teamwork skills in multicultural teamwork.
You are able to identify and assess some ESR-related issues and the action related to them and discuss some of their meaningful applications in international business settings.
