Purpose
After completing this course, you will master the essential clinical interventions of acute and perioperative nursing care, taking patient safety into account.

Learning outcomes
You know how to perform patient counselling at different stages of the care path.
You are able to observe and treat the patient at different stages of the care path
You master the drug calculations needed to administer medication

Pre- and postoperative counseling and nursing care, patient's intensive observation, triage, nursing care of acute patient, intraoperative nursing interventions, nutrition-, fluid- and drug therapy for a surgical patient, documentation of care

Multidisciplinary knowledge base in nursing care

You apply essential nursing interventions of acute and perioperative nursing care, taking patient safety into account.
