Learning outcomes of the course
The student acts in empowering partnership with diverse families and children. Student is able to implement the nursing process in collaboration with multicultural families and multidisciplinary networks using evidence-based decision making with support.
Student masters essential clinical nursing interventions and methods and administers medications safely. Student has basic knowledge about vaccinations and has the skills to perform safe vaccinations.
Course contents
Empowering culturally sensitive counseling of families.
Growth and development of children and adolescents and basics of nutrition.
Basics of clinical skills in pediatric and adolescent nursing, basics of clinical skills in sexual and reproductive health.
Vaccination.
Drug calculations.

Student has knowledge of promoting health of families and planning, implementing and evaluating family nursing.
