Learning outcomes of the course
You will get to know the devices used in automation and their operation. Studying in this course requires basic knowledge in the field of technology. The course enables more in-depth study of the topic in other courses.
EA-KW Knowledge and understanding
You are familiar with basic automation hardware solutions and programming environments in different application areas.
EA-EC Application of technology in practice
You can apply the basics of measurement and automation technology to energy technology processes.
Programmable logics and their programming
Fundamentals of digital technology, analog signals and standard messages, basic measurements such as flow, pressure, temperature and surface height measurements.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Basics of electricity technics
Assessment criteria - grade 1 and 2
1 inadequate student knows the terminology and some technical structures of the subject area, but there are shortcomings in the overall understanding
2 A satisfactory student knows the structures of measurements, but perceiving the whole is challenging
Assessment criteria - grade 3 and 4
3 A good student knows the main things of the course well and perceives the whole
4 commendable students have a commendable mastery of the subject being taught and are able to compare different measurement techniques critically
Assessment criteria - grade 5
5 excellent students have excellent command of the subject being taught and are able to apply things innovatively and creatively
