Learning outcomes of the course
The students
- feel encouraged to participate in creative musical expression using movement, body percussion, rhythm instruments, rhythm exercises and/or vocal expression
- have a command of the basic techniques related to percussion and rhythm instruments as well as some melody or harmony instruments
- are able to get away from sheet music and express themselves by means of improvisation
- adopt new and practical tools for making music together with others
- develop their pedagogical skills and capabilities in instructing and managing a group

Assessment criteria - grade 1 and 2
The students demonstrate their competence by making music, completing the learning exercises competently and gathering feedback on the development of their competence through peer and self-evaluation.
Pass (S):
The students are capable of
- creative musical expression using movement, body percussion, rhythm instruments, rhythm exercises and/or vocal expression
- the basic techniques related to percussion and rhythm instruments as well as some melody and harmony instruments
- expressing themselves through improvisation
- applying what they have learned and adopting practical tools for making music together with others
- developing their pedagogical skills and capabilities in instructing and managing a group
Fail (0):
The students do not achieve the minimum requirements for passing the course.
