Objective

The students are able to evaluate the contents and validity of various contracts. They recognize a risky or otherwise demanding contract situation and are able to suggest feasible solutions to control contract risks and to eliminate problems expected to arise during the implementation of the contract.

Contract as a legal act, breach of contract, interpretation and completion of contract, invalidity of contract, contract risks, standard contract.

Teaching methods

The course will be completed by attending lectures that will be provided in the form of both classroom and online lectures (webinar) as well as by independently watching online lectures provided by external parties. In addition, the course includes learning assignments and exercises as well as classroom pair/group assignments.

Exam schedules

Exam is in the Moodle Friday, 14 May 2021. The first resit exam will open on Monday, 17 May 2021 at 7:00 and close on Tuesday, 18 May 2021 at 23.59. The second resit exam will open on Thursday, 20 May 2021 at 7:00 and close on Friday, 21 May 2021 at 23.59. Retake will be possible during that time without a time limit.

Vaihtoehtoiset suoritustavat

The use of an optional completion method is subject to a well-founded reason that will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Student workload

The learning assignments will mainly consist of court cases related to the application of legislation and the preparation of documents. Two (2) weeks have been reserved for completing each learning assignment so that the assignment will open and close at a specified time.

Content scheduling

The lectures will be held on a weekly basis on a variety of topics. At the same time, the student will complete learning assignments/exercises in accordance with the given schedule. The pair assignments/exercises conducted in lieu of the weekly lectures will be separately agreed upon in connection with the classes.

Further information

Written feedback on the learning assignments every 3 to 4 weeks after the expiry of the time limit given for returning the assignment. The pair/group assignments conducted or presented during the class will be reviewed and feedback will be received on them during the class, and they also involve self and peer assessment.

Opiskelija soveltaa normeja ja tietoa ja tuo esille useita olennaisia asioita perustellusti. Opiskelija osoittaa omaa pohdintaa tai käyttää havainnollistavia esimerkkejä. Kirjallisissa tehtävissä opiskelija noudattaa osittain JAMK:n kirjallisen työn ohjeita.

Opiskelija analysoi ja yhdistelee tietoa ja normien soveltamista tuomalla esille eri näkökulmia sekä vertailemalla niiden eroja ja yhtäläisyyksiä. Opiskelija pystyy luomaan aiheesta oman ajattelun kautta jäsentyneen kokonaisuuden lähdemateriaalia monipuolisesti käyttäen. Kirjallisissa tehtävissä opiskelija noudattaa pääosin JAMK:n kirjallisen työn ohjeita.
