Objective

After completing the course, you will be able to express yourself with your main instrument naturally, taking into account the instrument-specific requirements of this level. You recognize the level of your instrument expertise and the importance of its continuous maintenance and development, as well as your ability to continuously learn with your main instrument. You play the chosen repertoire, striving for style. In cooperation with your teacher, you will find repertoire that corresponds to your technical level and is suitable for you, and that is optimal for your development. In collaboration with your teacher, you set goals that are relevant to your instrument expertise. You will understand the importance of finding the right training methods for your development and you will train appropriately under the guidance of your teacher. You will be able to work in different ensembles and you will also take responsibility for learning in a group. You know how to organize and share a stream on a streaming platform. You are able to record, share and edit video with a mobile device.You understand the importance of ergonomics and hearing care and use them in your work.

Content

In this course, you will study the technical skills of your main instrument, knowledge of music style periods and genres, as well as repertoire, sheet music reading, musical creativity and interpretation, performance, ensemble playing and digital skills. You express yourself naturally with your main instrument with your current technical and musical skills and identify your level of expertise. You have the ability to continuously learn with your main instrument and you recognize the importance of continuously maintaining and developing instrument expertise. You outline stylish musical elements and play the repertoire you practice in pursuit of style. In collaboration with your teacher, you set goals that are relevant to your instrument expertise. In cooperation with your teacher, you choose repertoire that corresponds to your technical level and is suitable for you, that is optimal for your development, and sets goals that are relevant to your instrument expertise. Student's right to instrument studies:

The student's instrument teaching may be denied if other studies do not proceed as agreed with the teacher tutor / study supervisor and the head. The minimum number of credits for studies completed during the academic year must be 40 cr. Otherwise, the instrument teaching for the next academic year will be considered.

If a student has completed previous university-level instrument studies at the beginning of his or her studies, then the amount of instrument teaching provided will be assessed on a student-by-student basis. When assessing the amount of instrument teaching required to achieve the degree's competence goal, the level of instrument competence achieved by the student before the start of studies is taken into account. The head of the degree program decides the amount of teaching to be given at the beginning of the studies.
