Objective

TLEEC, TLEPU: Students understand the meaning of the purchasing as part of the successful business in different organizations and networks. In addition, a student knows the core concepts in the field of purchasing and understands the main issues concerning the purchasing strategy as well as managing, developing, planning and executing successful purchasing processes and functions.

EUR-ACE EA-TS, YHTTE, YHTVI: A student is able to communicate with diverse methods in a collaborative manner. A student is able to demonstrate an awareness of project management (such as organizing work duties in a systematic manner) and business practices. The aim is to gain understanding of the possibilities and the challenges the procurement offers and faces in an organization.

The course is virtual. There will be learning assignments that can be done in groups.

Student workload

Planned workload per (1) course credit is 27 hours. For example in 3 credits course the workload is 81 hours. How workload is divided, depends on which implementation method has been selected.

Qualifications

The students are able to find information independently and to prepare reports. They have the basic knowledge of logistics processes.
