Objective

The student has an understanding of the measurement technology in industry and understands their physical and chemical principles. The student can design the PC based measurement solutions. The student can analyze the measurement results and understands the uncertainty relating to them.

TSASO - Design competence
The student can make choices between different measurement methods.

EA-ER - Engineering practice
The student can apply theory in measurement solutions of the laboratory. The student can implement the simple PC based measurement solutions.

Student workload

•understands the physical and chemical principles of measurements
•can estimate the measurement reliability
•can design the PC based measurement solution
•understands the system so deeply that the student can find the reasons of malfunctions.

Excellent (5): The student masters the essential knowledge and can apply the knowledge acquired in a creative and innovative manner.

Basic knowledge of mathematics and physics
