Objective
Object:
Supply chains are playing a major role in the operation and success of organisations. Development of e-commerce has had a great impact on material flows and the digitalisation of organisations has brought challenges besides opportunities to the supply chain management. It is important to understand this recent progression. Complex and long supply chains includes several operators and roles. Supply chains require monitoring and control as well as cooperation between the organisations. The different perspectives of several factors and operators needs to be considered in every phase of a supply chain.

Target:
Student understands the basics of supply chain management as well as the importance of cooperation and transparency of information. Student understands the role of procurement, production and distribution as a part of supply chain.
