You can also choose from Finnish and foreign partner universities, such as other universities of applied sciences and universities. You can apply for accreditation of higher education studies that you have completed elsewhere.
Working life oriented learning
Working life-orientated learning is included throughout the UAS studies such as practical training promoting professional skills, the thesis and various working life projects. At Jamk, Jamk Future Factory® is an example of the operating model for working life-orientated and student-orientated learning. It brings together business actors, students, Jamk specialists and working life-orientated LAB and other learning environments. In addition to multidisciplinary and working life oriented project studies, it offers students the opportunity to develop their future working life skills, career paths and working life networks, which have been developed utilising stakeholders, foresight information, peer assessments and student feedback. Teaching practices are developed transparently together with working life.
Career opportunities and employment
After graduating as a Bachelor of construction and civil engineering, you will have extensive employment opportunities. You can work in versatile and challenging tasks related to the planning, implementation, maintenance and development of construction. Your job title may be structural designer, site engineer, supervisor in charge, project manager, developer consultant or property manager.
You can find employment in the public or private sector, such as in construction companies, design offices, municipalities or government agencies. As a Bachelor of construction and civil engineering, you also have the skills to set up your own company or work as a freelancer. The construction industry is international and offers opportunities to work abroad.
