Objective
The student
- familiarizes with different kinds of forms of physical activity and sports facilities
- knows how to plan sports most suitable for oneself
- understands the importance of health sports for one’s well-being
- takes sports as a permanent way of life.
Content
In the course, the students become familiar with a variety of different forms of exercise independently. The student may benefit from the exercise services provided by local sports clubs, Academic Sports and JAMKO. In the course, the students learn about different forms of exercise and opportunities provided by different sports clubs.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Student attends the lectures and completes the hours mentioned in the section “Student Workload in Hours”. The reporting is done according to JAMK’s reporting instructions as well as the instructions given at the lectures. JAMKO’s Advisor of Guidance and Well-being will mark the study module passed to the Transcript of Records when all the assignments have been returned.
The study module is graded as Pass/Fail, marked as “S (Pass)” and “0 (Fail)”. If the student does not meet the minimum criteria set for the course, the grade is 0 (Fail).

Learning materials and recommended literature
Course material will be presented at the lecture and put to Moodle workspace.
Alternative completion methods
- Participating into the lecture and writing the closing report (40%)
- Collecting entries for the sport pass (60%)
