Objective

The Cross-Cultural Management Academic Track (CCM), through its track courses and projects, adds value to the IB curriculum by incorporating cultural and social competences development, as well as the enhancement of general communication and academic skills.
The Track is ultimately intended so that the student can further differentiate himself or herself in the international business marketplace as a new graduate with practical research skills.

Content

Interactive and meaning- and student-centred approaches help to stimulate the dialogic and dialectic nature of intercultural communication. In-class studies are conducted in a workshop format, and students are typically expected to co-create and produce tangible results that reflect and bolster their learnings, in the form of teaching and learning tools for later use by other teachers and students.

Qualifications

Intercultural Communication in Business Contexts.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

We objectively assess the concrete and tangible outcomes of students such as tools and research reports. Due to the subjective nature of the content in CCM Track courses and activities, increased emphasis is placed on reflective learning assessment approaches. Much effort has been made to create reflective learning tools, and these continue to be developed.
