Objective

The purpose of the course:
After this course, you will understand the significance of sexuality, the diversity of sexuality and sexual health from the perspective of elderly well-being.
Learning outcomes of the course::
- You understand the significance of the sexual well-being and sexual health promotion of the elderly from the perspective of individuals, communities and society
- You know sexual rights and ethics and know how to promote them
- You know the basic goals and tools for promoting the sexual health of the elderly and know how to implement them in working life
- You understand the diversity of the sexuality and gender of the elderly

- Examining your own values and attitudes towards the sexuality of the elderly
- The sexual rights and ethics of the elderly
- Sexual health of the elderly and diversity of sexuality and gender
- Sexual safety of the elderly
- Challenges to sexuality brought by aging
- Promoting the sexual well-being of the elderly at individual, community and societal levels, PLISSIT model
- Skills for promoting the sexual health of the elderly

No previous knowledge is required.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

- You can justify phenomena related to the sexuality of the elderly

- You demonstrate that you understand the ethical foundations of promoting sexual health

- You show that you understand the diversity of the sexuality and gender of the aging population

- You demonstrate that you understand the importance of promoting the sexual health of the aging population from the perspective of individuals, communities and society, and you can give examples of the promotion of the sexual health of the aging population
