Osaamistavoitteet

The student has tools to analyze and plan company’s global growth and business expansion. The student understands the possibilities of internationalization to create new business. The student understands the concepts of market development and penetration as well as product development and diversification as an expanding strategy. The student knows the basics of exporting, franchising, licensing, IPO (Initial public offering), merger and acquisition. The students know the basics on expanding and network strategies in a global environment.

Sisältö

The students are able to develop an internationalisation plan supporting sustainable growth and expansion as a part of strategic planning. They can utilise various data bases and service providers when evaluating potential market areas. They can evaluate the strenghts and weaknesses of different operations from the prespective of their own organisation. The students know relevant legislation. They are able to choose the right marketing strategy and take into consideration the financial effects of different financial alternatives.

The learning outcomes of individual courses are assessed in relation to the objectives of the course concerned. Assessment is based on knowledge, skills and competence in accordance with the National and European Qualifications Framework, level 7.

1 (Sufficient) - 2 (Satisfactory): The student knows tools to analyze and plan company's global growth and business expansion.
3 (Good) - 4 (Very good): The student can utilize various data bases and service providers when evaluating potential market areas.
5 (Excellent): The student is able to develop an internationalization plan supporting sustainable growth and expansion as a part of strategic planning.
