Objective
The students master the basics of strategic development and management by results and apply managerial accounting to them to support decision-making. They can apply the performance indicators supporting the implementation of strategies in their managerial work. They understand and can assess the different approaches of national and global accounting and the significance of reporting for the success of the work community. They master different analysis tools and new sources of internal and external information.
Content
The strategic development process, management by results, managerial accounting, development prospects, needs for experts in technology. The connection between financial management and customer relationship management. Product-specific cost accounting. Analyzing cost-effectiveness. Capital management. Investment planning. Result planning. Identification of innovative development ideas for managerial reporting and the utilization of reports.

Mastery of the basics of accounting.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Excellent (5): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills and can apply the knowledge acquired in a critical and innovative manner when solving demanding problems by exploiting management accounting.
Very good (4): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills and can apply the knowledge acquired in a critical and innovative manner when solving problems by exploiting management accounting.
Good (3): The student is familiar with the essential knowledge and skills of the course:
- knows the concepts and basic methods of management accounting and can satisfactorily implement them.
Satisfactory (2): The student is familiar with the basic knowledge and terminology of management accounting but in the application of the essential concepts the skills are still inadequate.
Adequate (1): The student is familiar with the basic knowledge and terminology of management accounting.
