Osaamistavoitteet

On completion of this module, students should:
• Have an appreciation of the importance of business management in the music industry
• Understand and be able to apply the theories of key management theorists to real life
• Know the key principles and roles of management, and the theoretical and practical sides of this.

Sisältö

• This is primarily a business topic, and as such business and management theories will be examined in detail, although regular reference will be made to the music industry throughout the course
• Theories and disciplines covered will include leadership skills, motivation theory, personnel management, organisation skills, time management, organisational structure, control and others.

Assessment will take place in the form of an evaluation of the above activities and exercises, coupled with attendance and effort made in class. This will be supplemented by an exam to test the students’ ability to know and understand the key principles explored
