Osaamistavoitteet

Economics module: The student is familiar with the basic economic concepts. The student is able to make microeconomic decisions and understand the factors that effect economic activity at the microeconomic level. The student is also able to understand the major variables that make up the macroeconomy and the effect that such variables can have on business operations. The student is able to understand macroeconomic policies at the basic level. The student is also able to apply and utilise information to solve problems.
The student is able to outline and evaluate the key patterns and trends in international business activity, the influence of increasing globalisation.

Financial Accounting module: The student is trained in analyzing financial statements and doing investment appraisal.

Sisältö

The course will provide the students with the initial and necessary insight into economic and financial aspects of business management theory and method, as well as an overview of the various functions in a business enterprise as an economic unit. The main
emphasis is placed on gaining an insight into business management thinking in practice and theory. The course is designed to be general and applicable to all types and lines of businesses.
