Osaamistavoitteet

The students are able to analyse the meanings of media culture from various perspectives, to independently reflect on topical phenomena in media culture, on the challenges and meanings of the media world, as well as on the ethical impact of the media.

Sisältö

Modern practices and theory basis of media culture. Lectures and discussions based on read and interpreted perspectives. The themes of media culture and different media within the dimensions of the practice and theory of audiovisual culture. Overviews of the manifestations of popular culture and alternative cultures and their position in the frame of reference of western culture.
