Osaamistavoitteet

On completion of this course, students will be able to apply the general sources of law, understand legal processes and frameworks and is able to interpret legal documents in the areas of contract law and copyright, focusing on music publishing. This course will provide students with the basis for future law-related modules.

Sisältö

The legal content of this course will range from common law and civil law constitutions, to the subject matter of copyright, moral rights and exploitation rights. It will also encompass publishing and song-writing agreements and their administration, including the basis of contract law, co-publishing, sub-publishing and the sources of publishing revenue.
