Osaamistavoitteet

n completion of this module, students should:
• Have a sound knowledge of the laws and policies controlling music and media operations throughout Europe and Internationally
• Be able to appreciate the difficulty of homogenising laws internationally, and understand how the continuing and accelerating globalisation of the music industry through the internet and other communication media increases the requirement to do so.

The module will cover the following areas:
• International laws regarding various rights in creative and musical works, live events, competition, licensing and digital implications, as well as defamation law, broadcasting law and regulations, privacy and publicity rights and the right to free speech will be considered, amongst others
