Practical TrainingLaajuus (30 op)

Osaamistavoitteet

A student is required to gain practical business experience in projects and/or practical in training worth 30 ECTS points. The required amount of projects is 10 ECTS points devided into two projects.

The projects are defined as process of learning through the planning and implementing of actual real-life projects involving a group of students and a faculty advisor. The needed tools to run projects are taught during the first year studies. We recommend that project ideas relate to specialisation studies, practical training, or Bachelor’s Thesis. Students may complete their practical training in one period or in two parts, thus allowing suitable summer jobs to be included in the degree. Any job to be included in the degree is subject to the approval of the Head of the Degree Programme in advance. Students may complete their projects and practical training abroad.

One potential source of project ideas is the Limit Breakers. Limit Breakers is a co-operative that is run by IB students to allow them to implement various kinds of projects and to develop business skills in a real environment and they produce and market services to the local community and businesses. We suggest that students combine the content of their projects with their chosen specialisation line studies and Bachelor’s Thesis.
