Sisältö
The course consists of two entities; entrepreneurship (3 ECTS cr) and innovation activities (2 ECTS cr) and it is offered twice per year.
Most of the entrepreneur section is implemented in school/department/ or degree programme specific groups of a few students who, using their own experiences, observations and knowledge acquisition skills, try to find needs and demand for which they develop their own solution (product concept) in their field of expertise. The groups examine the business potential of their idea and share the ideas of their groups and their chances of success in a larger group. Students acquire basic information on entrepreneurship and profitable business in functional ways. Students test their capacity for entrepreneurship and expend their understanding of their field with cases from corporate life.
During the course there is a one week innovation week transcending boundaries between fields, ’Pöhinäpäivät’, during which students do not participate in other tuition at JAMK. In the innovation part we take a look at innovation activities combining the customer viewpoint (customer case) and business viewpoints (business case). The implementation process gives students a viable and future-oriented problem solving method and tools for a wide range of development projects in the labour market and their own business and entrepreneur activities.
