Objective

The students understand the nature of logistics. They are able to explain basic concepts and understand interrelationship of different logistic actions.
EUR-ACE Knowledge and Understanding: Students is able to explain concepts of Logistics.
EUR-ACE Engineering Practice: Student understands practical logistic challenges and is able to discuss and explain possible professional solutions.
TELWM: Student understands the meaning of warehousing and is able to explain and discuss about practical technologies and processes of materials management.
TEL Transportation: Student knows different transportation modes and basic principles of choosing the transportation mode and route.

Content

Concept of Logistics. Basics of material management, warehousing and purchasing. Basics of information logistics. Megatrends in logistics. Introduction to transportation.
