Osaamistavoitteet

The students recognize determinants affecting the health and wellbeing of the population and understand the significance of the social and health service system and the social security system for ensuring our well-being. The students know the central legislation of social and health care and rehabilitation. They recognize the essential national diseases and threats to the well-being of the population. They understand the significance of disease prevention and the prevention of threats for the wellbeing of the population. They are able to find information on the health status and wellbeing of the population, utilizing the key indicators of health and wellbeing.The student understands the meaning of the entrepreneurial work approach and the significance of cultural differences in various operating environments.

The health status and wellbeing of the population, the determinants affecting them, the key indicators of health and well-being, social problems, essential social, health and rehabilitation services, central legislation of social and health services, various ways of providing services, administration and financing of income security, and different methods of service production (privat sector and entrepreneurs). The significance of occupational safety, safety operations at workplaces.

Pass: The student is able to look at factors influencing wellbeing and the whole of wellbeing services and understands their significance from the perspective of customers and employees. The student is able to individually apply proactive methods to factors presenting a risk to health and wellbeing.The student demonstrates an entrepreneurial work approach and understands the significance of cultural differences in various operating environments.
Fail: The student does not understand the whole of wellbeing services, nor their basic tasks and customer activities. The student is unable to apply proactive methods to factors presenting a risk to health and wellbeing. The student does not assume responsibility for passing learning assignments, tests and examinations acceptably.
