Osaamistavoitteet
The students understand the etiology and medical treatment processes of the main surgically treated illnesses. They master the drug calculation required for pharmacotherapy and the central knowledge of clinical pharmacology, upon which medication is based. They know the principles of repairing and healing tissue integrity. They master the principles of hospital hygiene. They can identify problems and use creative problem-solving skills in decision-making.

Medicine 3.5 cr (anesthesiology, surgery and gynaecology)
Pharmacology 0.75 cr (analgesics, local anaesthetics, general anaesthetics, antibiotics, anticoagulants, abortion medicines); drug calculations,
Anatomy and physiology 0.75 cr (sense organs, anatomy of the urinary organs, tissue healing, bones, muscles, ligaments)

Excellent (5 ): The student has advanced knowledge and understanding of medicine (anaesthesiology, surgery, gynaecology), pharmacology as well as anatomy and physiology. The student is able to draw on the skills acquired and demonstrated by him/her to instructively complete course learning assignments. The student is able to assess his/her competence and the skills acquired by him/her critically and instructively and to further improve them.
Very good (4): The student is able to assess the course information critically. The student is able to apply the latest national and international evidence-based information acquired by him/her in a versatile manner.
Good (3): The student has a good knowledge and understanding of medicine (anaesthesiology, surgery, gynaecology), pharmacology as well as anatomy and physiology. The student is able to apply the latest national and international evidence-based information acquired by him/her.
Satisfactory (2): The student uses the relevant information sources of the course and is able to assess the information used by him/her.
Adequate (1): The student has basic knowledge and understanding of medicine (anaesthesiology, surgery, gynaecology), pharmacology as well as anatomy and physiology. The student masters pharmaceutical calculations faultlessly.
Fail (0) KNOWLEDGE: The student does not have a basic knowledge and understanding of medicine (anaesthesiology, surgery, gynaecology), pharmacology or anatomy and physiology. The student cannot manage pharmaceutical calculations.
