Students know the etiology, diagnostics, medical treatment, and clinical guidelines for national diseases The students know different clinical nursing interventions used on national diseases, as well as related basic technology, and can take into account factors related to patient and own safety. They understand the phases and effects of medicines in the system, and have a basic knowledge of the most common medicine groups. They know what the effects of the drugs used for common illnesses are based upon, and what side-effects and interaction with other medicines their use may cause. They know the structure of human body, its operation, and related concepts. They can search for knowledge of anatomy and physiology in different sources, and apply it.

The monitoring and maintenance of vital functions, clinical nursing interventions, taking samples from a patient. Normal precautions in infection prevention, the isolation of a patient, topical issues in hospital hygiene. Basic knowledge of the medical treatment of common national diseases, the phases and effects of medicinal substances, side-effects and interaction. Blood transfusion. The main clinical laboratory examinations of blood and secretions, the most common radiology tests. Cytology and histology, skin, the digestive system, the urogenous system, the nervous system related to the regulation of life processes, and the endocrine system. Medicine related to the main national diseases.
