Osaamistavoitteet

•Students understand social exclusion of youth and the reasons that lead to it and protecting factors.
•They become aware of supply of guidance services and Youth Guarantee for young people and the purpose of multi-professional network.
•The students understand professional and ethical starting points for guiding and counselling work for young people.
•Students realise the essential meaning of communication when working with young people and learn to evaluate and improve their own way to communicate.

The students know the factors related to the growth and development of the adolescent.

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1)

To pass cource student needs to reach at least level 3.

Excellent - Very good (4-5):
The student demonstrates to have reached the learning objectives of the course on an excellent level. He /she becomes aware of the social context of guiding and counselling work for young people, including the risks inherent in the transition from education to the working life. In written assignments, he/she shows excellent capabilities to describe the subjects of the course and to consider them critically. He/she knows how to utilize both Finnish and English sources. The students follow the reporting instructions of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences.
Good (3): The student demonstrates to have reached the learning objectives of the course on a good level. He /she becomes aware of the social context of guiding and counselling work for young people. In written assignments, he/she shows capabilities to describe the subjects of the course and to utilize sources. The students follow the reporting instructions of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences.
Satisfactory - Sufficient(1-2):
The student demonstrates to have reached the learning objectives of the course on a satisfactory level. He /she becomes aware of the social context of guiding and counselling work for young people. In written assignments, he/she shows modest capabilities to describe the subjects of the course and he/she utilizes sources very little. The student follows only partly the reporting instructions of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences.
Fall (0): The student does not achieve the objectives and the competences of the course. Written tasks are not completed.
