5) The students understand standard, spoken Finnish on recurrent themes related to school, work and leisure. They are able to find out key issues for example in the news. The students can cope with informal discussions in general everyday situations. They are able to understand brief texts on familiar topics, and they are able to write a fluent and understandable text on a topic of personal interest. The students can manage with simple writing tasks in everyday life.

They are able to work out the key topics for example in the news. The students can cope with informal discussions in general everyday situations.
