Objective

The students work in a resource-based cooperative relationship in post-natal care of the mother, the family and the newborn. Under guidance, the students are responsible for implementing the nursing process in cooperation with families and multi-professional networks, drawing on evidence-based decision-making. The students master key treatment and examination methods, and they are able to implement drug therapy and the methods of health promotion in family nursing. The students work according to the principles of entrepreneurship.

Qualifications

The students have basic competence for promoting the health of families and for planning, implementing and evaluating family nursing.

Pass (S):
Students
- work in a resource-based cooperative relationship in post-natal care of the mother, the family and the newborn
- implement under guidance the post-natal nursing process of the mother, the family and the newborn in a customer-oriented manner, applying multidisciplinary evidence-based knowledge
- are skilled in key treatment procedures and in safe implementation of drug therapy
- work according to the principles of entrepreneurship

Assessment methods:
- students' self evaluation
- evaluation discussion together with the mentor and the teacher
