Osaamistavoitteet

The student can:
• deal in Spanish with routine business communication situations face to face, over the phone and in writing
• independently produce in Spanish business messages and documents needed
• use in Spanish different communication media effectively and in accordance with good business practices
• negotiate the details of business transactions successfully in Spain and Latin America
• deal with of marketing communication of a routine nature needed in advertising, sales promotion and customer relations in Spain and Latin America
• understand in Spanish written and online marketing materials
• take care of arrangements and follow-up needed in organising events related to marketing and international business relations in Spain and Latin America
• conduct in Spanish product demonstrations, give information and understand product descriptions paying also attention to environmental issues
• organise meetings and negotiations, participate in them and produce necessary documents in Spain and Latin America
• use appropriate Spanish language structures, professional Spanish business terminology and style showing an understanding of cross-cultural aspects

Sisältö

• basic business messages (inquiries, replies to inquiries, requests for quotation, orders, confirmations, invoices) in writing (e-mail, fax, business letters, e-commerce) and terminology needed in face-to-face negotiations and over the phone in Spanish
• basic Spanish business vocabulary and structures, stylistic aspects and cultural issues in Spanish and Latin America business communication
• participating in Spanish in different international business events as a client, visitor or organiser and their programmes and supplementary events
• arrangements, follow-up, negotiations, customer service, advertising and promotional materials related to events, visits and business trips in Spain and Latin America
• giving product information and conducting product demonstrations including environmental issues from the consumer’s point of view in Spanish
• meetings and negotiations and the documents needed in Spanish
• business and marketing terminology, stylistic issues and aspects related to intercultural communication in Spain and Latin America
