Objective
The student understands the purpose of investment activities and knows the core concepts and theories of investing. The student is familiar with financial markets and knows how to find suitable financing instruments for the company in line with the company’s investing and financing strategy using critical evaluation. The student knows how to examine the risks and yields of different investment options.
Content
The course contents include financial markets and services, shares, bonds, debentures, options, forwards, investment analysis methods, behavioral finance and investing and financing strategies.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
0 (Fail): The student does not perceive the purpose of investment activities, nor does he/she recognize the core concepts of investing activities, theories or the basic elements of financial markets. The student is not able to find suitable financial instruments for the company or to examine the risks and benefits of different investing options.
Lectures, assignments, discussions.
1 (Sufficient): The student perceives the purpose of investment activities and memorizes some of the core concepts and theories of investing. The student recognizes the basic elements of financial markets, but is not able to apply this information when examining the suitable financing instruments for the company or examine the risks and benefits of different investing options.
2 (Satisfactory): The student perceives the purpose of investment activities and is familiar with some of the core concepts and theories of investing. The student is familiar with the basic elements of financial markets, but is not able to apply this information extensively when examining the suitable financing instruments for the company. Examination of risks and benefits of different investing options is lacking.

3 (Good): The student understands the purpose of investment activities and is familiar with the core concepts and theories of investing. The student is familiar with financial markets. The student knows how to find suitable financing instruments for the company. The student knows how to examine the risks and benefits of different investment options.
4 (Very Good): The student understands the purpose of investment activities and is familiar with the core concepts and theories of investing. The student is familiar with financial markets and has the prerequisites needed to follow them. The student knows how to find suitable financing instruments for the company using reflection. The student knows how to examine the risks and benefits of different investment options and is able to justify the choices.

5 (Excellent): The student understands the purpose of investment activities, is familiar with the core concepts and theories of investing and knows how to apply them in practice. The student is familiar with financial markets and follows them actively. The student knows how to find suitable financing instruments for the company in line with the company’s investing and financing strategy using critical reflection. The student knows how to examine the risks and benefits of different investment options and is able to justify the choices.
