Objective

The student can prepare consolidated financial statements and knows their meaning in different situations. The student knows the function of groups and is able to draw up consolidated financial statements. Student is able to evaluate his/her own competencies and needs for development.

Content

Formation of groups, legislation for groups and group accounting, drawing up consolidated financial statements, elimination, subsidiaries, joint ventures, associated companies, taxation of groups.

Qualifications

Financial statements of SME companies, special issues in financing and profit recording

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Assesment is from 5-1. The course is failed if the student does not attain the minimum requirements of the course.
5 (Excellent): The student knows the meaning of a group and understands its impact in drawing up financial accounts. The student manifests mastering the consolidated financial statements and is able to draw up the consolidated financial statements of a small company. The student recognizes his/her needs of personal competences development.
4 (Very Good): The student manifests mastering the essential parts of consolidated financial statements and is able to draw up the consolidated financial statements of a small company almost independently. The student recognizes the meaning of group in major parts and knows that it has some impact in drawing up financial statements. The student recognizes his/her needs of personal competences development.
3 (Good): The student manifests mastering the main parts of consolidated financial statements and is able to draw up the consolidated financial statements of a small company when tutored. The student recognizes the meaning of group in major parts and knows that it has some impact in drawing up financial statements. The student recognizes some of his/her needs of personal competences development.
2 (Satisfactory): The student recognizes the meaning of group in major parts and knows that it has some impact in drawing up financial statements. The student manifests mastering the main parts of consolidated financial statements and is able to assist in drawing up consolidated financial statements of a small company. The student recognizes few of his/her needs of personal competences development and can work in a group when tutored.
