Objective

The student is familiarized with the basics of web page development. The student gets acquainted with proper hypertext markup language (HTML) and stylesheet (CSS) structure and syntax. The student will learn the basics of planning an interface, the file structure and the use of graphic elements on a website. The student is capable of realising a static website utilising valid HTML and CSS using a text based editor. The student is familiarized with the basics of JavaScript and Responsive Web Design.

Qualifications

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Fair (1-2): The student understands the terminolony and is capable to work on the course. The student is capable of creating a static website. The student is familiar with the basic concepts of responsive web design.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good (3-4): The student masters the terminology and knows how to use it while working. The student is capable of creating a static website utilising valid markup languages and JavaScript. The student understands the basics of responsive web design and knows how to use that kwowledge when designing a website.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Excellent (5): The student masters the terminology and knows how to use it while working. The student is capable of creating an usable, static website utilising valid markup languages and JavaScript. The student understands the basics of responsive web design and is capable of using that knowledge when designing a website.
