Objective

Learning outcomes and their weights depend on the project topic. The learning outcomes should form of several competences.

YHTTH Data management skills
The student is able to carry out research and development projects by applying the information, methods and practical skills acquired. The student is capable of creative problem-solving and developing working skills.

EA-IV Investigations
The student has ability to conduct literature searches and use other sources of professional information. The student is able to to design and conduct appropriate experiments, interpret the data and draw conclusions.

EA-ER Engineering practice
The student is able to combine theory and practice to solve engineering problems. The student has an understanding of applicable techniques and methods and of their limitations.

EA-TR Transferable skills
The student has a knowledge and understanding of the scientific and mathematical principles that are central to their branch of engineering.

Content

The students apply to practice the things learnt in the professional studies and deepen their competence in a chosen subject.

Qualifications

The student has a basic understanding of automation and electrical engineering including engineering tools and systems.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The project topic has to be chosen so that the project outcomes are extensive and the wanted learning outcomes can be achieved. To pass the course the project has to be completed and reported.
