Objective

The Student understands the meaning of Operation and Maintenance related to Power plants, knows economical considerations related to Power Production including Energy Markets. In addition, the student knows the basics of power plant operation, automation and maintenance systems. The Student also understands Maintenance Strategies and Methods and The Basics of Lifecycle Management.

Maintenance, usability and lifecycle thought.
Critical analysis.
Basics of Power Plant operation, automation and maintenance Systems.
The dimensioning and reliability of Energy Production.
Management of security and environmental effects of Power Plants

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Very good (4-5): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills required to get the grade Good (3) and can apply the knowledge acquired in a critical and innovative manner to problem solving.
Good (3): The student masters the essential knowledge and skills also in more complicated situations.
Satisfactory (1-2): The student is familiar with the basic knowledge but in applying the essential knowledge the skills are inadequate; however, the student has mainly achieved the learning objectives of the course.
