Osaamistavoitteet

The students can work in the practical tasks of occupational therapy consulting, guiding and teaching clients and their networks. The students can organise and develop their own activities. They are able to learn independently and to share what they have learnt in a work community. They can also operate creatively in changing situations. The students can critically assess information, they have adapted a developing work approach and they can solve problems and make decisions in the practical situations of occupational therapy.

Esitietovaatimukset

The students have first aid skills. They know the work of occupational therapists. They can work with different-aged clients of occupational therapy.

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1)

A precondition for passing the training period acceptably is that the student assumes responsibility for and is able to work in expert tasks of occupational therapy, consulting, guiding and teaching clients, families, team members and other interested parties. He/she is able to creatively and skilfully apply theoretical and research data and evidence-based practice, facilitating the occupations of individuals and groups in various environments.
The student is familiar with the basics and methods of research and development activities and is able to implement a small-scale working life development project, applying existing research data instructively and critically. The student shows initiative in assuming responsibility for the progress of his/her development project and demonstrates an expert professional approach in his/her work.
The student reflects on ethical perspectives that affect his/her work in a versatile and creative manner. The student is able to assess his/her own learning and development analytically and instructively. He/she is capable of learning together and collegial sharing of what has been learnt.
