Osaamistavoitteet

The students can work in a family- and network-oriented way in the client situations of the practice. The students can evaluate the operation possibilities of a client and a group by using evaluation methods. They can implement individual and group form of occupational therapy enabling the clients to choose operations relevant to them. The students can analyze operations and utilize this information when choosing therapeutic operations and utilizing it in client situations. The students can utilize the occupational therapy model in a client’s occupational therapy process.

-orientation lessons for the practice , model day and advanced seminar
-virtual studies

Esitietovaatimukset

The students have first aid skills. They know the main concepts and job description of an occupational therapist.

Arviointikriteerit, tyydyttävä (1)

In order to pass this course acceptably:
The student is able to act professionally and in a family and network oriented manner in client situations of the training unit. The student is able to assess the operating possibilities of the client and the group in the training unit using various assessment methods. He/she comprehensively masters knowledge of the field. He/she is able to implement occupational therapy for individuals and groups, enabling the clients to choose occupations that are relevant for them. The student is able to draw on and apply the model of occupational theory, the latest knowledge base of the field and his/her personal knowledge in the client's occupational therapy process. The student is able to direct the development of his/her skills and on this basis, draw up plans that will improve his/her skills further. He/she is able to work in multiprofessional teams, applying the knowledge base of his/her field to the needs of the sector.
The student is able to act creatively and in an entrepreneurial manner in various communication situations of his/her field. His/her work emphasises initiative and developing the work, and he/she is able to work in expert tasks of occupational therapy.
In the assessment of written assignments, the assessment criteria for written assignments will apply.
