Objective

The student is aware of the key public, private and third sector services provided by the Finnish rehabilitation service system and the service system’s work distribution, forms of operation and actors. The student is able to apply rehabilitation and closely related legislation in his/her work. The student has a comprehensive knowledge of Finnish social security policy, the subsidies and benefits it offers at different stages in a person's life and knows how to apply this information to clients case by case.

Rehabilitation organised by social and healthcare services, the education department, occupational administration and social insurance.
Rehabilitation organised by the private and third sectors.
Legislation related to rehabilitation.
Social security policy as a system.
The subsidies, benefits and social security related to rehabilitation.

The objectives of the first year have been completed.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

5 (excellent)
The student’s written assignments and seminar presentation demonstrate extremely diverse and well-structured knowledge of the Finnish rehabilitation service system’s services, legislation, actors and forms of operation, as well as the client's social security. The student utilises source materials and experience-based knowledge broadly and critically in his/her assignments. The student analyses and assesses rehabilitation services and brings forth new ideas on how to develop these. The student usually follows the JAMK reporting instructions.

The student’s written assignments and seminar presentation demonstrate very diverse and well-structured knowledge of the Finnish rehabilitation service system’s services, legislation, actors and forms of operation as well as the client's social security. The student utilises source materials critically and applies and illustrates experience-based knowledge in his/her assignments. The student usually follows the JAMK reporting instructions.
3 (good)
• The student’s written assignments and seminar presentation demonstrate a well-structured basic knowledge of the Finnish rehabilitation service system’s services, legislation, actors and forms of operation as well as the client's social security. The student utilises source materials and applies and illustrates experience-based knowledge in his/her assignments. The student usually follows the JAMK reporting instructions.
2 (satisfactory)
• The student’s written assignments and seminar demonstrate a basic knowledge of the Finnish rehabilitation service system’s services, legislation, actors and forms of operation as well as the client's social security. Some shortcomings in discerning entities. The student utilises source materials and experience-based knowledge in his/her assignments. The student sometimes follows the JAMK reporting instructions.

1 (below average) BASIC KNOWLEDGE
• The student’s written assignments and seminar contain essential information on the Finnish rehabilitation service system’s services, legislation, actors and forms of operation as well as the client's social security. Lacking ability to discern entities. The student utilises source materials and experience-based knowledge in his/her assignments. The student’s ability to follow the JAMK reporting instructions is lacking.
