Objective

The student:
* Is able to guide, support and advise customers/customer groups of varying ages on their rehabilitation process and use of services and benefits from a customer-perspective.
* Is able to use different implementation and teaching methods in a goal-oriented manner.
* Is able to plan, realise and assess a customer’s/group’s/community’s rehabilitation processes and assess their effects.
* Is able to plan and organise group situations.
* Is able to work independently, head working groups, negotiate and create cooperation based on dialogue.
* Is knowledgeable about the use of pharmacotherapy in rehabilitation of patients they are responsible for and understands the significance of pharmacotherapy in the rehabilitation process.
* Understands the significance of neuropsychology in the rehabilitation process.

Content

The content of practical training is determined by possibilities provided by the location of the practical training, the objectives of the period and a student’s own goals and career plans (15 cr). Basic terminology of pharmacotherapy, basic knowledge of the most common medications used for out-patient treatment, the tasks of-a rehabilitation supervisor with regard to pharmacotherapy (1.5cr) Basics of neuropsychology (1.5 cr)

Qualifications

The student:
* Is able to determine and assess a customer’s recuperation and ability to function in different operating environments by utilising different assessment methods and individual rehabilitation examinations.
* Is able to recognise a customer’s/community’s rehabilitation needs and expectations and is able to fit these together with presently available rehabilitation possibilities.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Pass: The student has displayed that they have a basic knowledge and are aware of the methods of supervising and planning rehabilitation. A student’s theoretical skills have been apparent in how they have fared in practical work. He/she is able to use information and communication technology to acquire, edit, produce and communicate information. The student has taken responsibility for professional tasks. He/she has carried out tasks in an agreed upon manner and with a developing grasp of their job, while taking into account all other parties. Interaction between different parties has been situation appropriate and encouraged dialogue. Professional ethics have been evident in his/her actions. He/she has advised and guided customers as well as supported customer initiative and activeness in a resource and future oriented manner that has been based on each customer’s needs. The student has reflected on their own supervision and planning skills and acknowledged the areas in which he/she needs to develop. He/she has displayed an ability to take into account the role of pharmacotherapy in a rehabilitation patient’s ability to function.
