    Learning outcomes of the course
You will be able to do laboratory work in electrical power technology that supports the theory. Studying in this course requires basic skills in electric power technology, and you can utilize these studies, e.g. in working life.

    EUR-ACE ENGINEERING PRACTICE
You are able to plan and perform electrotechnical measurements related to different areas of electric power technology systematically and safely, as well as to analyze and report research results in writing. You can use mathematical methods and tools to describe phenomena in the field and solve problems. You can dimension the components of the electricity distribution network and the electricity network of buildings. You have knowledge of power distribution switchgear and switchgear as well as protection and operation control of electrical systems as well as knowledge of electric motor drives.

    EUR-ACE STUDIES AND INFORMATION SEARCH
You will be able to plan and carry out experimental studies, interpret documents, other input data and results, as well as evaluate the correctness of measurements and work in a device environment safely and in accordance with good practices.

    Language of instruction

    Finnish

Planned learning activities, teaching methods and guidance

Learning methods include connecting equipment in an electrical laboratory and observing and studying phenomena related to their operation. The phenomena are studied before the measurements are carried out with the help of preliminary tasks. After the measurements, the necessary invoices are made and the results are analyzed on the basis of them.
