Purpose of the course
After the course you will be able to use basic knowledge of medicine as well as first aid skills in interaction with clients or patients of social and health care work.

Learning outcomes of the course
After the course you will know the basics of bio medicine and clinical medicine. You will know patho-physiological phenomena of illness, pain and recovery. You will know the fundamental dysfunctions of respiration, heart and circulatory system, musculoskeletal system and central and peripheral nervous system. You will understand psychological issues as well as cure and rehabilitation principles related to them. You will know effects of medication and understand your own professional responsibilities in medical treatment. You will have basic competences in first aid.

Materials

Moodletyötilassa olevat videoluennot ja niitä täydentävät tekstimateriaalit ja oppimistehtävät.

1. Biolääketieteen ja kliinisen lääketieteen lähtökohtia
2. Sairauden, kivun ja paranemisprosessin patofysiologiset ilmiöt
3. Kipu
4. Hengitys-, sydän-ja verenkiertoelimistön toimintahäiriöt
5. Tuki- ja liikuntaelinsairaudet
6. Keskus- ja ääreishermoston sairaudet sekä mielenterveyden häiriöt
7. Turvallisen lääkehoidon toteutus ja seuranta
8. Kuntoutus ja kuntoutuminen

Teaching methods

Itsenäistä opiskelua Moodlen oppimisympäristössä, kuntoutuksen asiantuntijalääkärin laatimien videoluentojen, kirjallisten materiaalien ja harjoitusten pohjalta.

Hätäensiaputaitojen teoria ja harjoittelu (4 h kontaktiopetus koululla)

- Itsenäinen opiskelu: video- ja tekstimateriaaleihin perehtyminen ja opiskelu sekä harjoitustehtävien ja tentin ekeminen noin 120 h
- Hätäansiapu: teoria ja harjoitukset 13 h; teoria 9 h + 4 h harjoitukset koululla
- Aloituswebinaari 2 h

Jos Sinulla on voimassaoleva SPR:n ensiaputodistus tai olet juuri käynyt hätäensiapukurssin (8h) tai EA1-kurssi, saat hyväksiluvun hätäensiapuosuudesta liittämällä kuvan ensiaputodistuksesta tai kortista Moodletyötilan palautuskansioon, joka aukeaa tammikuun alussa 2024.

Opintojakso tentitään yhtenä kokonaisuutena eli samassa tentissä osoitetaan sekä lääketieteen että lääkehoidon osaaminen. Näin ollen lääkehoidon osaamisesta ei ole erikseen mahdollisuus saada osahyväksilukua.

Mukana min-max määrässä Gradian kk-polkulaiset (n. 21 opiskelijaa + 1 EF-opiskelija, joka ei kk-polulla) ja avoimen KU-SOS polkulaiset (n. 45 opiskelijaa)
Alkion-opiskelijat tulevat min-max määrän päälle (ei vielä tiedossa kuinka monta, mahd. 7-9). Lisäksi 4 paikkaa myynnissä avoimen puolella (sovittu Tepon ja Annen kanssa 27.9.).
