This is a virtual project over an eight-week period.
Working virtually, the participating students join a team of international students who engage with a business client. Each team is requested by the client to address a significant challenge faced in their internationalization activities and goals. Because the range of possible challenges is so wide, the students must draw upon their existing knowledge and skills across a range of international business topics. The students must also be prepared to conduct desk research or collect primary data on the assigned client topic. Materials related to participating in the project will be provided by the principal project organizers at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. Students should be prepared to work independently and be self motivated.
Relevant materials are provided by the organizers to support the students through the project. Weekly reporting including self assessment and 360 degree feedback from teammates is required.
Steven Crawford, Barbara Crawford
Students have reported getting internships or jobs from the clients they work with during the project.
The student will work on a global virtual team. The teammates are typically spread across the globe.
29.08.2022 - 21.12.2022
Students will receive instructions and timetables from the X-Culture organizers at the University of North Carolina. The project usually is run across eight weeks.

The FF project planning 3 cr part is an independently implemented online course.
Implementation of the FF project, 7 cr is a project implemented in a group.
3 cr FF Project planning:
The course is implemented flexibly as online studies. Studies include independent study and teamwork. The course utilizes digital and interactive tools. The student group agrees on how to implement teamwork. Group guidance supports task performance.
During the course, you plan a small-scale project related to the development needs of working life in the student team. Project planning proceeds in stages. During the stages, you will independently study the theory related to project activities, share your sectoral expertise and your sustainable development expertise in the student team. You use design support tools at different stages of the design work. As a result of the phased work, a project plan is created, which you present together with your student team.
7 cr Project implementation:
Competence assessment is based on portfolio and reflection (incl. Reflection on one's own activities, peer feedback, possible working life and feedback from the supervisor)
In the portfolio, you will be able to justify the stages of project implementation and evaluate the tools and methods you use in the project and their suitability for solving the development challenge of working life.
You will be able to critically reflect on your project work, your own activities, your own role and define the next steps in developing your project skills. (self-assessment and feedback discussion, peer feedback, feedback from potential working life and mentor)
The client will be provided with the usable output (s) of the project as group work.

13.02.2023 - 26.05.2023
Students typically meet once per week in a three-hour block, typically in the classroom. One credit corresponds to an average of 27 hours of work, thus five credits represents approximately 135 hours. Thus suggests that the bulk of the students' work will be completed outside class time.
06.02.2023 - 12.02.2023
By design, students are not provided with a syllabus for the course; the course proceeds with information only a week or two in advance. Among other skills this perspective provides is tolerance for ambiguity, an essential intercultural skill in which people must operate in environments and contexts where not everything is apparent.
12 - 30
In this course, individuals tasks typically are graded based on a proportion of a total of 100 points for the course. Each assignment (as well as portion of the points awarded for engaged participation and attendance) is allotted specific points (accompanying the assignment description in Moodle). At the end of the course, the points accumulated by each student will be translated into the university's scale of 0-5. In this point system, students must earn 45 points to pass the course with a 1; students earning 85 points or more will be awarded a 5.

Flipped classroom model will be used to implement this course.
Thus, pre-class learning is vital for the successful implementation of the flipped learning model. At course workspace, the teacher will provide you with lecture notes and slides. Each student has to familiarise him/herself with the pre-class learning content. I strongly suggest that students should also gather some other resources and expose themselves to the focal subject area. In the classroom, we will put a greater focus on application of the conceptual knowledge rather than factual recall or straight transfer of the information.
