    The competences to be promoted and assessed in the course are purchasing competence, practical application of technology, knowledge and understanding of the subject, ability to communicate and teamwork.

    After completing this course, you will understand the role and importance of procurement in organizations and networks. You will be familiar with the key features of the procurement process and the different sectors (such as public and service procurement). You understand the main features related to purchasing management. You will gain an overview of the opportunities in purchasing development.

    Assessment criteria - grade 1 and 2
    1: Student has gained knowledge at all the subjects described in the learning outcomes.

    2: Student has gained knowledge at all the subjects described in the learning outcomes and is able to utilize this knowledge.
    Assessment criteria - grade 3 and 4
    4: Student has attained an excellent level in almost all the subjects described in the learning outcomes and is able to apply the skills one has learned.

    3: Student understands all the subjects described in the learning outcomes and is able to apply the skills one has learned.
    Assessment criteria - grade 5
    5: The student has attained an excellent level in all subjects described in the learning outcomes and is able to apply the skills one has learned.

    Planned learning activities, teaching methods and guidance

    Course consists both face-to-face and online learning. There are 4 face-to-face lessons during the course in Jamk main campus. Face-to-face lessons are mandatory. Possible absence will be replaced with an extra assignment.
    Self study (individual and/or group assignments) are made online according to given schedule. Course evaluation is based on course assignments and theme exams.
