Description

The systems maintenance orientation of JAMK's Information and Communication Technology degree program offers students a comprehensive education that focuses on the planning, maintenance and management of system infrastructure. Orientation courses have been carefully selected to provide students with solid technical knowledge and practical skills essential for managing complex IT environments. The "Local Area Networks" course gives students a foundation in planning and managing local networks. The "Cloud architectures and platforms" and "Automation of networks and services" courses prepare students for planning and automating modern cloud infrastructure. The course "Mathematics: Optimization and network models" opens up a mathematical perspective, which is essential in the optimization of systems and the development of network models. The "Data center technologies," "Windows infrastructure management," and "Service management and monitoring" courses deal with different areas of system infrastructure, such as data center technologies, Windows environment management, and efficient management and monitoring of services. The "Data network project" gives students the opportunity to apply what they have learned in practice by participating in real projects. The "Backbone networks" and "Computer networks" courses deepen the understanding of large-scale network solutions and the network infrastructure of data centers. The systems maintenance orientation provides students with a comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure management. After graduation, students have the necessary skills to design, implement and maintain complex IT systems to meet the needs of organizations. They are ready to face the challenges of the modern IT environment and promote efficient and secure system infrastructure.
