The Managing Resilience specialization option is aimed at providing students an understanding of core concepts, theories and tools related to management of resilience and human resources. Resilience is a central success factor for businesses; thus, the students are given an overall understanding of renewal and an ability to use its management tools for individuals, work communities and organizations.
Through their studies, students understand the significance of human resource management (HRM) in achieving company’s strategic goals. In addition, they gain knowledge about HR practices and processes, occupational well-being, and legal requirements in HR work. Moreover, they learn about the opportunities of digitalization and digital HR tools which they can use in HRM.
Sport Business studies aim at increasing student's business skills and knowledge in the field of sport. Sport being one of the most rapidly growing industries globally, these studies provide students great possibilities to network and study in international environment. Sport business studies combine the newest theories of sport marketing and business intelligence, sport management and leadership, sport accounting and finance and the legal framework of sport. Students learn to apply this knowledge in international and local development projects and work in multicultural groups.
Students become experts in sport business by conducting different projects and doing their internships in sport organisations. They have good opportunities to gain employment in international and national sport business companies, sporting clubs and federations. Sport Business studies are taught in English.
The finance management specialisation provides students with the fundamentals of finance and investments as well as the qualification to operate in finance service sales as defined in General Securities qualification. The finance management specialisation provides excellent prerequisites to work in banks, insurance companies, investment and fund management companies, and corporate finance. The studies are implemented in cooperation with companies in the financial sector.
In the responsible marketing orientation, the student acquires the skills to improve the organization's performance within the field of responsible marketing in a digital environment. The studies include digitalization, e-commerce, data, customer understanding, sales, service design, branding and the responsibility perspective is integrated into every course. The student can focus on digital business or responsible customer management. Interesting and versatile tasks in marketing await the graduated student.
The aim of the Financial control specialization is to provide students with financial management and reporting skills. It focuses on methods and tools of financial control and information systems that can be used to steer a company's activities towards its business objectives. In terms of reporting, the focus will be on accounting and taxation or sub-ledger issues such as payroll, purchasing, or sales that meet the standards of the Accounting Act, the Accounting Regulation and tax legislation, and VAT issues. The orientation provides knowledge of economic management mechanisms, processes, and goal-oriented activities involving forward-looking planning, implementation, monitoring, and knowledge management. It lays a solid foundation for working in expert roles such as controller, accounting professional, or payroll specialist, as well as in other positions requiring financial and analytical skills. You can choose to focus your studies on management accounting, financial accounting, or data analytics. The orientation is multidisciplinary, combining business skills, financial management, analytics, robotics, leadership, processes, reporting, law, and information systems.
