Objective

Production planning and control are essential for achieving efficient and sustainable production.

You will learn to understand the importance and function of production planning as part of order-delivery chain management. You can do the principles and steps of production planning. You know the basic principles and methods of method development. Your competence grows in knowing the basics of supervisory work.

Knowledge and understanding: You can plan production loads using production planning software. At the same time, you know the limitations of production planning.

Engineering practice: You can analyze and design production loads and interpret the results of such analyzes and are able to choose methods suitable for the situation.

Content

Production planning and controllability, capacity planning and reservations, fine planning and scheduling (ERP system), material control principles, method development, data collection systems, demand forecasting and supervisory basics (e.g. labor law). The course includes a comprehensive and demanding learning project in which the aforementioned topics and previously learned concepts are applied in a practical manner.

Qualifications

Basic competence in production engineering and knowledge of the basics of economics.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

Sufficient (1): You understand the basics and terminology, but you have significant deficiencies in interpreting the key issues. You can plan production loads poorly for simple production. You know the requirements of supervisory work satisfactorily.

Satisfactory (2): You understand the basics and terminology, but you have deficiencies in applying the key issues. You can plan production loads satisfactorily for simple production. You know the requirements of supervisory work satisfactorily.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

Good (3): You master the key aspects of the course, which are production planning and controllability, capacity planning and reservations, fine planning and scheduling (ERP system), material control principles, method development, data collection systems, demand forecasting and supervisory basics (e.g. labor law).

Very good (4): You master the required key issues and can apply them critically and innovatively in reasonably demanding production planning solutions as well as their analysis and evaluation.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

You master the key issues and can apply them critically and innovatively to the solutions of demanding and complex production control tasks and their application. You are able to create new solutions critically while assessing their impact on sustainable development as well.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Accepted:
You understand the basics and terminology, but you have deficiencies in interpreting the key issues. You can plan production loads poorly for simple production. You know the requirements of supervisory work satisfactorily
